Faction Announcement A Lesson in Humility: The Fate of Astraeus Eonwe

Sultan of Anjyarr, Arch-Pyromancer
[!] From the distant deserts of Anjyarr, a majestic flame phoenix soared through the skies, its ember-hued wings carving trails of golden light against the twilight. As it neared the towering spires of the Dominion’s capital, the great bird descended in eerie silence, its fire casting dancing shadows along the polished marble of the Therri’Cill’s palace. With a graceful sweep of its wings, the phoenix landed before the throne room, depositing a scroll sealed in black wax, the sigil of the Sultan of Anjyarr pressed into its surface. The air shimmered with the lingering scent of smouldering incense and desert spice as the phoenix tilted its head, its burning gaze holding for but a moment before it vanished in a burst of cinders, leaving nothing but a wisp of smoke and the weight of the message now resting at the feet of the Therri’Cill’s attendants. To the Therri’Cill of the Dominion of Corithiel,

Let this letter serve as formal notice of an incident involving one of your subjects, Astraeus Eonwe, who was arrested in Al-Jabrid for causing disorder in our streets. He sought battle with Abdullah ibn Asad al-Qasri, an honourable warrior of Anjyarr, and was swiftly and decisively defeated. Abdullah left the duel with nothing but a scratch, while Astraeus fell in disgrace. For this victory, Abdullah has been granted the title "The Cill’s Scourge", a fitting reminder of what becomes of your kind when they overstep in our lands.

Astraeus carried one hundred Andros, which has rightfully been awarded to Abdullah as the agreed price for the duel. However, his reckless disregard for Anjyarri law has not gone without consequence. He has been detained and will remain in an Anjyarri cell until he has recovered from his injuries. A fine will be levied against him, after which he will be expelled from our lands.

Furthermore, his actions have raised suspicions of espionage, and we do not take such offences lightly. While he will be released in due time, he will not leave unmarked. As a symbol of his shame and as a warning to any who think to follow in his footsteps, his hair will be cut before his departure.

Keep your spies and troublemakers out of Anjyarr. The next time one of your people disturbs the peace in my lands, they will not be treated so leniently.
