Community team update
Introduction
Hello there.
As many of you may have noticed, this month was a month of change in many aspects. From the new chat system to the rework of internal staff workings, new hires, and many more. Though I can of course not speak for other teams, I am excited to tell you about all the things Community Team has done this month. However, like always, I will first be taking you through the results of the monthly form. I will also be discussing the staff roster and the winners of the Community Contest. Let’s not chitchat anymore, and get right into it!
Community Feedback Evaluation
This month’s form was a little longer than usual and has given the staff a great insight. One thing we have however noticed is that the rating of the server’s current state is lower than in past months. If you have any tips for us, feel free to reach out to me (NietKirsten#7899) or any other Team Manager! We love to hear your guys’ opinions, especially through conversation, because they give us better insight than any form could.
Like always, the communities quality remained high, a result we are proud to maintain.
Recruitment
Like always, many of you have found us through friends, but PlanetMinecraft remains a strong pulling factor. It seems like lots of new people have filled in this month’s survey, resulting in July being our most chosen answer.
A piece of feedback we saw often, in many responses, is that you guys want to see our lore improved or expanded. This can include reworking and specifying lore, but for example, also writing and publishing our alchemy and botany lore. All this (valid) critique is being passed on to the Lore Team, and hopefully, I will soon be able to proudly announce that lore was updated in mentioned parts!
All feedback received has been processed and passed on to the fitting teams.
Important announcements!
And now we’re on the topic of Lore Team, we got an exciting announcement as we got a new Team Manager! Awab left us due to personal life catching up to him and Gartono stepped in to take the reins. We are excited to see what Gartono will bring to the table, and wish him the best of luck!
Community Team is looking for new members! Have you always wanted to help guide new players? Do you think you are the welcoming face Community Team needs? Do you think you've got what it takes? What have we been working on the past month?
The Community Team has worked hard the past month, though it may not be visible to most regular players. One of the most notable changes for the team itself is that there is now a Community Team call, where the team can discuss, brainstorm and vent. As of now, this idea is loved by the team and keeps us closely in contact.
Additionally to this, we’ve had a little change in team members, which I will talk about later, and I have started re-writing lots of information and documents for the Community Team. This has, and will keep me busy the upcoming month. This is mostly work unseen by our ‘wanderers’ but will make huge changes for our ‘old’ members, and for new members joining Community Team. They will receive more complete information, guides, tips, tricks and rules on the team, the whitelisting process, and more! Unfortunately, this is more of a one-mans-job, meaning it might take a bit before I can get it all done. Next month, I’ll be sharing my progress.
Lastly, we have been wondering what you guys, the community, want to see from the Community Team. We’ve brainstormed for a bit and concluded that it would obviously be best to reach out to you guys about what you want to see from us. Community Call
Last month’s Community Call was, like expected, well received. After being in contact with the Team Managers and a few members of the community, we have settled on a date.

Community Contest results
Now, on to most people’s favourite part of the Community Team Update, the Community Contest! This month was our first community vote, and it was a success! Many of you truly loved reading the stories of our story contest, and it was received with lots of enthusiasm. So, let's get right into the results, shall we? Can I get a drumroll, please?

August's Community Contest
Now, for August’s Community Contest! After discussion within the theme, we have settled on a meme contest. Shall we establish some base rules?
-Like always, it is strictly prohibited to post other people’s content.
-The meme must be about, fit within or be themed around Fables & Fantasy (OOC or IC), its characters and/or its universe.
-Memes can be anything you want. They can be text format, video format, image format, whatever you want.
-Normally, we have a submission limit of two. However, on an exception, one person may enter three submissions.
-Keep everything SFW. We are a 13+ server.
-All memes must follow our rules. This means that OOC bullying is absolutely not allowed, and will result in fitting punishment.
-Keep things civil.
Memes can be submitted in the #meme-submissions channel in our discord. The contest closes on the 23rd of August, at 12 am CEST (6 pm EDT).
