ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE TOURNAMENT OF THE LIVING
The Markgrafdoms of Bergwald and Norburen cordially invite the Empire's bravest warriors to particpate in the Tournament of the Living, to be held at the Norburen Tournament Grounds on (February 22nd). This follows the great success held by Eden in their most recent battle and subsequent defeat of the Bone Lord, Alcadizar. With particular care given to the many Hadrian lives lost, and for the triumphs of its greatest fighters working to beat back the voidal forces, this day will act as a memory to those we have lost, and to the many more we hope to gain from having this threat removed. ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE TOURNAMENT OF THE LIVING
As we move past the passage of the Bone Lord being a constant and present threat to the citizens of the Empire, new and old challenges present themselves as our next target to conquer. Among these, the reclaiming and protection of the swamps which made up the Bone Lord's lair, the Griffins which have harrassed the livestock and citizens of Bergwald, now maiming in various capacities three known and respected warriors of the Empire, and other, inevitable problems which will in no doubt bring themselves forward.
The nature of this tournament will be one of dueling, with the following parameters set ahead of time so as to remove confusion and ensure fairness among all participants. Iron Armor is the strongest armor one can don while participating, and any lesser armor is also welcomed. Fighters may use whatever weapons they wish - spears, shields and swords, axes and hammers, bows or crossbows, but the use of magic is strictly prohibited. All warriors will be on the ground and will lack any use of mounts or additional aid. Fighters will duel until unconsciousness/being knocked down, though any fighter may yield to their opponent earlier in the duel should they choose. All participants are required to bring their own weapons and gear of their choice, as such will not be provided ahead of time.
To compliment, food and drink prepared from the Norburen kitchens will be served to particpants, onlookers, and locals who participate in the day's activities. Please write to the Norburen or Bergwald Keeps (reply below) to signup, and all signups are due one week prior to the Tournament's date (February 21st). The winner of the tournament will receive a 1000 Andros reward and a weapon from the Tzyrnowski's family vault. On behalf of the Markgrafdoms of Bergwald and Norburen, and their respective families, we wish each participant luck and victory in the duels to come.
