A Call to Duty by Ashaad Tebak La'adam

Fellow citizens of Anjyarr,

Our Nation stands at a crossroads. For centuries, it has borne the hopes and dreams of the Azari’Lunn, a people scattered, oppressed, and mocked by Eden’s cruelty. Our homeland, this sanctuary forged from the sands of despair, was meant to shield us from the hatred and ridicule we endured elsewhere. Yet today, Anjyarr is weak. It falters in its most sacred duty: the protection of its people. A nation that cannot defend itself is a hollow promise, and for the Azari’Lunn, this failure is not just a political crisis, it is an existential one. The plight of the Azari’Lunn is one of survival, of finding meaning and identity amidst the storms of history. Eden sees us as a blemish, an unwanted reminder of its hypocrisy. It mocks us, not just with words but with actions, undermining our sovereignty and denying us the dignity of self-determination. The Azari’Lunn have been betrayed by the world, but we must not betray ourselves. The time has come to reclaim our strength, to rebuild our nation from its very foundation. At the heart of this renewal lies a single truth: the Jundi must rise.

A People Without Shelter

In the annals of history, there are tales of great perseverance, and the story of the Azari’Lunn stands among them. A people carved from resilience, we have endured exile, scorn, and displacement. Yet amidst this suffering, we have also built Anjyarr, a land that holds the promise of peace. But peace cannot survive without protection. It is a fragile flame, and in the face of Eden’s winds, that flame falters. Here, we must invoke the wisdom of Esebius of Al-Khadir, the great chronicler of the Azari’Lunn’s plight. Esebius reminds us of the “Covenant of Refuge”, the unspoken pact that binds our people to this land. “Anjyarr,” he wrote, “was not given to us; it was forged by our hands, built from the ashes of despair. Yet what good is a shelter if its walls are weak and its doors unbarred?” His words resonate today, for our homeland remains vulnerable. Without a strong Jundi to defend it, Anjyarr is a sanctuary in name only.

Eden’s Scorn and the Mockery of Our Existence
Eden’s hatred for the Azari’Lunn is no secret. It is etched into the laws of their lands, whispered in their markets, and shouted in their streets. To them, we are an inconvenience, a living affront to their self-proclaimed moral superiority. Eden despises our resilience because it exposes their fragility; they mock our culture because it reminds them of their own emptiness. But Eden’s scorn goes beyond words. It is an active force, undermining Anjyarr’s sovereignty and exploiting its weaknesses. Their agents sow discord among our people, while their armies encroach on our borders. They laugh at our struggles, confident that Anjyarr will never rise to challenge them. This is the reality we face: a world that does not simply ignore us but actively works against us. We must understand that Eden’s mockery is not merely an insult, it is a call to action. Every slight, every encroachment, is a reminder that Anjyarr must stand strong. And strength begins with the Jundi.

The Key to a Secure Anjyarr
The Jundi is more than a military force; it is the heart of Anjyarr’s sovereignty. A strong Jundi is the key to a secure Anjyarr, capable of defending our borders, protecting our people, and enforcing justice. Yet the Jundi has been allowed to wither, its strength sapped by neglect and corruption. This cannot continue. Rebuilding the Jundi is not just a matter of military strategy; it is a moral imperative. Without a strong Jundi, Anjyarr is defenceless and its people left vulnerable to Eden’s aggression and internal unrest. A strong Jundi is the shield that protects us from the scorn of Eden and the chaos within. It is the foundation upon which a secure and prosperous Anjyarr can be built.

Rebuilding the Jundi requires a clear and focused plan. This plan must address the root causes of its decline and lay the groundwork for its resurgence. Here are the steps we must take:

  1. Protection as Priority
The Jundi must reclaim its role as the shield of Anjyarr. Every child, every elder, every labourer must feel the assurance of safety, knowing that the Jundi stands between them and harm.
  2. Unity in Purpose
The divisions sown by a failing regime cannot be allowed to fracture our resolve. The Jundi must be a sanctuary of solidarity, where Azari’lunn and all who call Anjyarr home find common cause in the defense of justice. The Jundi must embody the spirit and heritage of Anjyarr. Training programs should instil pride in our shared history and culture, creating a military force united by a common identity and purpose.
  3. Strength Through Renewal
The Jundi must adapt, modernize, and expand its capabilities. Strength is not just in numbers but in purpose, strategy, and the unshakable conviction that a better Anjyarr is within our grasp.

Sultana Talia Al'Rahim: The Torchbearer of Renewal
In this dark hour, Anjyarr stands at a crossroads, and the weight of our future rests heavily on the shoulders of Sultana Talia Al'Rahim. While she has assumed the mantle of leadership with courage and determination, history warns us that good intentions alone are insufficient to guide a nation through peril. Anjyarr has seen too many rulers fall prey to the temptations of power, losing themselves in tyranny and plunging the realm into chaos. Talia must tread cautiously, lest she repeat the mistakes of her predecessors. Her efforts should be aimed at the renewal of Anjyarr, recognizing that the revival of the Jundi is the keystone for ensuring the safety and prosperity of our people. Without a strong military, there can be no peace, no culture, no future for the Azari'Lunn or any of Anjyarr's people. The Jundi must not simply defend our borders but also uphold the principles of justice and unity that have eluded us for far too long.

We must be vigilant. History remembers rulers like Sig'Vyl Al-Buthara, the last great champion of the Azari'Lunn, whose reign was a testament to the delicate balance of strength and wisdom. Unlike those who followed, Sig'Vyl wielded power not to dominate but to protect. His legacy endures because he understood that military might is only righteous when tempered by compassion and guided by purpose. Those who came after, however, turned the instruments of protection into tools of oppression, betraying the very ideals they were sworn to uphold. The Sultana has an opportunity to restore that lost legacy, but she must resist the traps of arrogance and isolation. The endemic corruption that festers within the Jundi must be eradicated, not merely punished but dismantled at its roots. She must prioritize transparency and accountability, ensuring that the military serves the people rather than preying upon them. Furthermore, Talia must address the divisions that plague our realm, uniting a fractured society that has grown weary of broken promises and oppressive rule.
As Esebius of Al-Khadir observed, "A leader may carry the torch, but the path is lit by the collective steps of the people." The Sultana must remember that she cannot govern through edicts and decrees alone. True leadership demands dialogue, listening to the voices of those who have long been silenced. The Azari'Lunn, who have borne the brunt of Eden's scorn and ridicule, must not be treated as mere beneficiaries of protection but as active participants in the rebuilding of Anjyarr. Their resilience and unwavering spirit are assets that no leader can afford to overlook.

Let this serve as both an acknowledgment of the Sultana's potential and a warning against the perils of hubris. The people of Anjyarr stand ready to walk with her, to bear the torch of renewal alongside her. But our loyalty is not blind. We demand a ruler who will not shy away from accountability, who will embrace criticism as a means of growth, and who will govern with the wisdom of Sig'Vyl rather than the tyranny of lesser monarchs. Talia Al'Rahim has taken the first steps on a path fraught with danger and promise. The challenge before her is monumental: to rebuild the Jundi as a force for justice, to secure the safety of the Azari'Lunn, and to lay the foundation for a future in which all of Anjyarr's people can thrive. Her success or failure will not only determine her legacy but also the fate of a nation yearning for renewal. It is now up to the Sultana to prove that she is worthy of the trust placed in her. Let her actions speak louder than her words. Let her deeds be a testament to her commitment to justice and unity. And let us, the people of Anjyarr, hold her accountable to the ideals she has sworn to uphold. For only together can we ensure that this moment of hope does not dissolve into yet another chapter of despair.

A Call to Action
Anjyarr’s future hangs in the balance. The time for complacency is over. Every Azari’Lunn has a role to play in the rejuvenation of the Jundi and the rebirth of our nation. Whether through service, support, or advocacy, we must all contribute to this sacred cause. Sultana Talia cannot do this alone. She needs the unwavering support of her people. Let us stand with her, as Sig’Vyl once stood with the leaders of old, and as countless Azari’Lunn have stood together in the face of adversity. Let us honour the sacrifices of our ancestors by building a future worthy of their struggles.

Anjyarr is not just a land; it is a promise. A promise of refuge, of dignity, of hope. But that promise means nothing if we cannot protect it. Let us rebuild the Jundi, not as it once was, but as it must become: a force of justice, strength, and unity.

For Anjyarr. For the Azari’Lunn. For our future.

Not everything is about you bro-
Omg I remember when he made that lol

a cloaked dark elf finds this pamphlet while on the outskirts
he chuckles, knowing who the man is

“You kept me waiting, huh brother” he thought
the dark elf wraps his face walks

The sun was setting over the desert, casting the dunes in hues of molten gold and deep crimson. The same colors that had once painted the Sultanate's streets during rebellion, a time when blood mixed with sand and fire raged. Qhirani sat in her tent as her eyes scanned the parchment spread across the sand.

"𝐑𝐞𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡: 𝐑𝐞𝐣𝐮𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐢. 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐦 𝐀𝐧𝐣𝐲𝐚𝐫𝐫."

The Jundi and the leadership she had shed blood to dismantle were now now wrapped in new promises of rejuvenation and unity. The rebellion, her sacrifices, her losses, they all echoed in the hollow spaces left behind by those who had vanished after claiming victory. Esebius, the scholar she had raised up, the one she had sworn to protect, had disappeared when the crown finally rested within reach. His absence had left her standing alone in the ruins of their hard-won triumph.
Yet, he is being painted a hero now.

She rose from the ground. Her gaze drifted to the shelf that held the skull of Rayyan Nobara, the tyrant who had tortured and maimed Esebius.
Who had taken his voice. It sat there, hollow-eyed. The proclamation made her blood boil. Rejuvenate the Jundi. The audacity of it. Were they all so blind to history? To the cycles of power and decay that had bled this city dry? (And oh, the sweet irony of it all). Her mind raced back to those days. The screaming of the oppressed, the suffocating despair, the raw desperation that had fueled her to raise a torch against tyranny. She had not done it for glory. She had done it because she believed Anjyarr deserved better, once before. Because she believed the people deserved more than empty promises and vanishing saviors. Esebius had been a light in the darkness, a beacon of wisdom and hope. A mentor. She had thought, for a moment, that with him at the helm the city would heal. But he, too, had left. They all had. Ralvvon, the Nobara concubine who claimed the throne in the wake of Nahida's disappeaance and Rayyan's death, had mocked her before vanishing as well. And now this. Another banner, another leader and another promise of salvation.

With a slow motion, she picked up the skull from her shelf, holding it before her. She stared into its empty sockets.

"Do you see this, Rayyan? Curious, isn't it? This is what remains of tyrants who promise salvation and deliver nothing but death." she placed the skull back on its perch with care and reached for her cloak, draping it over her shoulders. The city called to her. If this new leadership thought they could rally the people without addressing the wounds of the past and without acknowledging the cost of rebuilding, they would feel the weight of it all. Qhirani would not blindly oppose this effort, of course. Not yet. But she would watch. And she would listen. And if they faltered and failed to honor the sacrifices made in the name of Anjyarr's freedom, she would not hesitate to remind them what happens to tyrants once again.

She would remind them of the skull on her shelf and of the fire that still burned.
