[!] The declaration was sent to Adelhard Tragen himself and hung upon the walls of Schloss Rosenberg, for all passers-by to read. [!]
The life of a squire begins with an inexperienced young man, wishing to be more than he currently is. Be they high- or lowborn, they wish to test their mettle and prove their merit. A long and hard-fought journey led them from battles against fierce beasts to a battle with mind and soul. Their years of training would inevitably prepare them for a life in service of the Order, their Kaiser, and their Fatherland.
Such stories come in many forms, this one in the form of Adelhard Tragen. A young man from a small village, born with little to his name, worked his way up the ranks until he was offered a squireship position by Ser Cedryk Tzyrnowski, Ordenmarschall of the Order. His drive to be remembered, his incredible loyalty, and his willingness to sacrifice for the good of the Kaiser and his nation have made him an exemplary squire, and now, Ritter.

During this trial, the young Adelhard met his match in a fearsome frostbear. He defeated it using a sword and shield, having lit his blade on fire. Having defeated not only the bear but also the frosty wastes of the north, Adelhard skinned the bear and took its head as a trophy. He later gifted the head and pelt to Kaiser Diederick von Lichtenfelts.
The Trial of Mind tests one on their godly and worldly knowledge, as well as the duties Ritters are to have upon their ascension. Alongside his regular training- and work schedule, Adelhard made sure to make the time in his day to prepare fully for his exam. His score came out to be a perfect score of one hundred percent, proving his readiness and astute state of mind.
Squire Adelhard spent this trial with the late Vater Gregor von Volker, learning about the workings of the faith, as well as joining him in his daily prayers. The chosen venue for the trial was the Grand Temple of Adelsburg, where they honoured Alder and his Sentinels. The day was concluded with the customary vigil, which he passed without speaking. Afterward, the late Vater concluded the strength of his faith and his belief in the young squire.
Adelhard Tragen has been dubbed a Ser of the Empire and has been offered the position of a Ritter of the Kaisersgarde. Ser Adelhard gladly accepted this duty.
