[!] The declaration was sent to Karsten von Drachenfels himself and hung upon the walls of Reichfort, for all passers-by to read. [!]
The life of a squire begins with an inexperienced young man, wishing to be more than he currently is. Be they high- or lowborn, they wish to test their mettle and prove their merit. A long and hard-fought journey led them from battles against fierce beasts to a battle with mind and soul. Their years of training would inevitably prepare them for a life in service of the Order, their Kaiser, and their Fatherland.

Such stories come in many forms, this one in the form of Karsten von Drachenfels, the Forever squire he had more than one mentor Ser Markvart von Herdof, Ser Cedryk Tzyrnowski and finally Ser Damien von Aval who was able to help the man lose the title of forever squire.
The squire spotted a large nest near the mountains separating Adelsburg and Norburen, he decided to climb the mountain and investigate and when he finally got to the nest he was attacked by a vicious griffin but thankful he had borrowed the shield of his knight before venturing and came out victorious taking feathers and a talon from the beast but letting it live showing the beast that attacked him mercy.
The Trial of Mind tests one on their godly and worldly knowledge, as well as the duties Ritters are to have upon their ascension. Alongside his regular training- and work schedule, Karsten made sure to make the time in his day to prepare fully for his exam. His score came out to be a perfect score of one hundred percent, proving his readiness and astute state of mind.
Squire Karsten spent this trial with the watchmeister Reyna, she tutored him on the ways of the mortius cult. She showed him all the places of the monastery and their functions. catacombs, chapel, resting area, basement/cleansing area. He performed the ritual of cleansing in the basement on a body and then spent the night in the chapel immersed in prayer, which he found interesting. He answered the questions Reyna asked and asked some as well and he gave a detailed report of what he had learned to Reyna in the end.
Karsten von Drachenfels has been dubbed a Ser of the Empire
