"My fellow Corinthiens, THIS DAY
HARVESTDAY 10, STARFALL, 1558
Victory to the Dragons
The la'Cilmeri's words before the battle are printed below...
I know there are some who speak of the old Corithiel like a dream. That those leaders… were heroes. That is not the case. These ‘heroes’ destroyed what remained of the past promise of Corithiel… from their deeds, our shared project was abandoned. In times such as these, we look to those dearest to us, and I cannot help but think of my own Khari. Full of love for the Mother, he would always say: 'Varyian... the Mother gives victory to the Dragons!' He was always fascinated by the Mother's most powerful creation... and today, we will face down one of the Mother's strongest, now corrupted and turned against her people.
Yet, when I look into your eyes, I see dragons. The Bone Lord, his followers, the undead threat- these are lies. The truth? They are all known by the same name. Threats. We have a vision, to rebuild paradise… to fulfill our Corithiel Dream. These threats… as with all others, have made sure the cost of our Dream will be blood. Join me in putting down these threats to ourselves and our futures. Let us restore our past promise! Let us claim victory to the Dragons!"
The notice then transitions into a more formal message from the la'Cilmeri...
To the People of the Dominion of Corithiel,
Once more do we restore Till to our land. The brave Kitaari forces of the Dominion marched onto the northern swamps of Eden, putting down the Bone Lord and his minions, thus providing a lasting peace on Eden once more. Our Trial of Will has been passed, and with the Mother's bessirs did we find our way through. The Dominion faced all manner of abominations and threats - from undead hordes, roaming voidal giants, a corrupted dragoi, and the gargantuan form of the Bone Lord himself. Despite these dangers, the Dominion happily reports few of our forces lives were lost. The strong formations of shield walls complimented by arrow fire, the keen insights and power of our mages, and the frontal assault led by the shield wall proved an invaluable asset to the battle's conclusion.
The Dominion would like to take this moment to highlight those brave fighters who stood alongside one another in the final moments of the Bone Lord's existence. These dragons not only faced down the final form of Alcadizar, but also took down one of his strongest minions - the pale ghost who acted as his messenger, and her minions, among many other notable corrupted abominations. The following hold a dear place in the Dominion's heart and are mentioned here for their feats and triumphs in battle:
-Ar'magoi, Atticus Solil'tay: for his enemy crowd control, healing in battle, and forging of a flaming behemoth to push the Bone Lord back into its home realm
-Lla'vitlir, Ethirion Ashendarei: for his outstanding leadership, coordination of battle plans and formations, and might at holding the line against the forces of darkness
-Lunarmancer, Illyria Il'Valyris: for her displays of raw power and intellect, control of the battlefield, and providing aid and support to our Hadrian allies
-Kitaari, Astraeus Eonwe: for his accuracy with a bow, assisted coordination to the Lla'vitlir, and for his fearless charge against the Voice of Alcadizar
-Till'aerivis, Mihail Brukov: for his powerful swings against ghosts, his sturdiness in the defensive line, and for courageously saving others from the fallout of battle
-Kitaari, Arquia Daenyr: for her preparedness as a medic, her impressive use of fire magic, and the great care she showed for her fellow Corithiens
-Tericyées, Raiden Sylvaris: for his teamwork with others, his ardent fighting against the ghosts, and his defense of the mages and la'Cilmeri alike
-Frigumancer, Ashe: for her assistance in defending the Kitaari shield wall, her displays of arcane knowledge, and for being invaluable in solidifying the ghosts
-Ar'magoi, Yelran Roseshade: for his inspiring words before battle, his diligent preparation and sacrifice, and his creation of the Stone Golem which felled the Dragon
-The two masked mages: for their spells of rock and water, their healing in battle, and for them standing by the Dominion's best throughout the endeavor
In these, and many more who go unnamed, do we extend our thanks and owe our gratitude. The Dominion also acknowledges and highlights the work of those forces from the Hadrian Empire and the Denur Strongholds who encountered many voidal threats themselves and pushed them back all the same, eventually reuniting with the Dominion company to press into the final offense against Alcadizar himself. Our Trial was one of will, and though the ordeal was stretched further than we expected or hoped, we have passed the test and move now into more prosperous times. Having worked now more fully alongside our Hadrian counterparts, coming to call many of them our Filos, we of the Dominion announce our shared intent to restore relations with the Hadrian Empire. In this, we will set about creating a new world order to combat threats such as these in the future, together. Until then, we pronounce this day, Harvestday 10, Starfall, as the day the Dragons claimed victory over evil.
The work ahead of us will be no small feat, challenging us in different, but not easier ways, than that which Alcadizar presented to be. Many threats remain, and the cost of them, just as this, will ask much of the Dominion. Yet, we are not appointed or called to do what is easy, but what is right. Our vision of paradise is possible, and through the examples of bravery shown in this battle, I am ever confident we have moved one step closer to fulfilling the Corithiel Dream.
Signed,
