(Dark red is May-June and dark blue is July-August on the left chart. I'll condense it for better viewing next post!)
The community's feedback form opened on September 3rd. We collected a total of 22 responses, one more than we previously had! As usual, many appear to come from friends with a whopping 59.1%, while everyone else seems to have googled us (18.2%) or found us through PlanetMinecraft (18.2%)! There was a singular person that answered other. If you happen to be reading this, hello to you! You're special! Ratings of both the community and the server overall look to be consistent with last month's, but it does seem that we've gotten more positive reception lately! I'm happy to know that the server is gradually improving for everyone!

JULY───────────────────────────────────────────────AUGUST
The two charts in each section represent the application data from July (left) and from August (right) of 2024. We have processed a total of 181 applications, much more than previous! We're happy to have you, applicants! Surprisingly, and sadly, there is a huge portion of denied applications compared to approved ones this time around, totaling to 64.2% in July and 50% in August. The majority of these applications do not come from those that were pending and failed to make the deadline, but from instant denies for not following guidelines. To those who were denied but still wish to join the server, there is no limit to the amount of application attempts you can make! Just be sure to read through our rules and follow the criticism given by our community team to ensure the greatest chance of success!
JULY───────────────────────────────────────────────AUGUST
In July, the elven races continue to maintain their popularity with 42% total applicants! In second place, as per usual these past four months, are humans with 35.8% to their numbers! Tieflings keep their place in third with 13.5%, as well as the minority races with 3 goblins, 2 orcs, 1 denur, and 1 halfling.
In August, elves are still at it with 40% of applicants, but what's this? There's been a gradual increase in human races with 37%, 1.2% more than in July! Although they're still in second place, this might signal a slow comeback! Tieflings are now sharing their third place with the denur, boasting a twinning 9% for both! With the new denur lore and the faction getting into swing, any new denur players are bound to be in for a treat! For the minority races, 3 orcs and 2 halflings have applied, with no halflings or goblins.
JULY───────────────────────────────────────────────AUGUST
The gender ratio for applicants has stayed virtually the same thus far. There was a slight increase in male characters with 61.7%, 35.8% for females, and 2.5% for others in July. August, however, has even more male characters, boasting a percentage of 65% in comparison to female characters with 32% and others with a modest 3%.
JULY───────────────────────────────────────────────AUGUST
Java players look to have maintained the majority of total applicants with 80.2% compared to 19.8% of bedrock players in July. August bears similar numbers, albeit with a more dramatic increase in java users (91%), with bedrock players only having 9% of applicants. PC master race, am I right? (No offense to any current bedrock players!)
Remember, it's highly recommended that you join the [Main Discord] before you make an application or shortly after you make an application. This gives applicants the best chance to make it past Pending within the week-long deadline!

Bi-Monthly Recap

THE RETURN OF CUSTOM WEAPONRY
"AND MY AXE!"
Many eons ago in the history of Fables & Fantasy, we had a smithing mechanic where players were able to create custom weapons through smithing roleplay and the supervision of a loremaster. However, this was sadly discontinued for nearly a year due to balancing concerns. Many players raised questions on the extent of their ability to customize their weapons for flair, which came with the demand for smithing to return.
On the 1st of August, Loremaster TM Bug and Gamemaster TM Catins made the decision to bring back custom weaponry once more with only a few changes in the process of a weapon's creation to create fairer gameplay! There are also clearly defined rules on what a weapon can and cannot have (ex. no complicated effects, no magic, etc.), making it easier to narrow down the limitations for players than previously. There have already been many custom weapons created since the reinstatement of this system, some of which I'm actually quite jealous of! Perhaps one day, we could incorporate it into a community contest? Or not! No promises!
NEW COMBAT RULES
"What do you mean a toddler can't bodyslam you? It's totally fair!"
"What do you mean a toddler can't bodyslam you? It's totally fair!"
On the subject of custom weaponry, there have also been slight tweaks in the combat system! Ever since lowering the age minimum for characters, players have raised concerns regarding how children fare in combat, and more specifically, the logic behind a kid being able to fully beat an adult.
Announced by Tech TM Maple on the 14th of July, special combat rules have been established in Chapter VI of the CRP Rules forums page! Characters biologically aged from 8 to 10 must now roll a D10 instead of a D20 for attacking. The elderly are not safe from this either, with characters aged 65+ (scaled for non-human races) having to roll a D15. In addition to these age-based rules, there is now a formally implemented rule regarding windows! Players are now able to smash windows when attacking, whilst intact windows may provide full coverage to anyone behind them. At least I no longer have to answer questions about that!
See you soon!
