A desperate soul is easily corrupted when their goal is in sight yet remains unreachable with the resources available.
For years the Denur bastion of Dar-ach Denur has stood tall to protect the continent from the lingering dangers up in the far north, yet a long and destructive siege brought the reign of the last isolated High King to a bloody end. The bastion low lies occupied by monsters from the north and thus the road southward is open.
Great treasure the likes of which a mortal could only dream lies ripe for the taking and the remainder of the Denur people are left without a home as the last of the great bastions has fallen. Many birds of prey eyeball the remainder of the Denur legacy and wish to exploit them for personal gain. A course of action the Azari'cill of the Enlightened Kingdom cannot allow happening.
We wish to have it be known that The Enlightened Kingdom of Luminion will not recognize any Denur claim to the throne of the great hold if it has been captured under foreign banners. Only through independence can the Denur rekindle the forges of their holds and reclaim the legacy as wardens of the north once more.
To any Denur marching on the mountains, I ask of you, do not sell your heart and soul to foreign powers for short-term success for it is not your victory that will be achieved when you march back into the hold.
