It was by the turn of the season that the mystery of the Kaiser's body was resolved. The construction workers started digging in the palace gardens with the goal of eventually remodeling them. As the workers reached the southern edge of the gardens, a terrible discovery was made. There in a shallow grave was the rotting body of the late Kaiser, Philipp, discovered. Besides the Kaiser lay the cut-up remains of crown prince Karl. They have been defiled, mutilated in death, and most criminal of all, denied access to Alder's halls by keeping the body from the Sentinel of Death, Mortius.
The crime of regicide cannot be undone, yet what can be undertaken is to lay the dead to rest in a worthy manner. It is because of this that a state funeral is to be held in the Grand Cathedral of Alder within a Saintsday. This is to allow for all loyal to the crown to pay their respects, and for justice to be served in the eyes of Mortius and Alder. May And after three grueling years, will the Kaiser and his beloved son finally know peace.
All those interested are invited to attend the funeral and to pay their respects before the ceremony starts.
After the cult of Mortius secured the passage of the Kaiser and prince's souls will the coffins be moved to the Imperial Crypts.
