HerrVonAdmiral

Hertog van de Zuidelijke Hinterlanden
[!] A message will hail the dawn of the future of the Hinterlands which was spread amongst the herauts and merchants across the eastern half of the Hadrian Empire it was also nailed on boards in Bergwouden, Leeuwenmarken and Helsteyn [!]

Ever since the collapse of the First Republic under Arnoud I van Leuveren the Hinterlands have been treated as a far off province in the realm of Hadriana.Entirely disenhabited, and abandoned at some point in the past two decades these lush and central provinces in the heart of Eden have wained and wept.

In the perils of the north Hinterlanders sought to create a new nation, which collapsed due to infighting and ambition, but not for the dynasty of the Van Leuveren family. The cornerstone of that which has held the Hinterlanders together ever since the old Century of Tribalism in the Hinterlands. The van Leuveren family has been steadfast to offer all Hinterlanders in Eden a home they call their own. Due to the friendship and support between the House van Leuveren and the Imperial Lichtenfelts family of Hadriana ever since the vile coup-etat performed by maleficious reavers, followed by the ill begotten revolution in the North both houses have stood in all earnesty to look past the troubles which has plagued Hinterlanders and Attians in the past and to look onto a century of Mankind. To pursue their rightful place in the Sun on the face of Eden and in the face of all those who would stand against this unity, and have manipulated this unity for their own gains and pursuits.

By his imperial majesty's grace, this unity has now been rewarded the chance to return to their ancestral homeland. For the Keizer of Hadriana, Diederick-Gobel von Lichtenfelts has seen fit to grant the Hinterlanders their ancestral home in the officially recognized Imperial Region of the Hinterlanden. This gracious act will never be forgotten. And the House van Leuveren as protectors of the Hinterlands swears their fealty to the eternal unity of mankind from this day, until the waining days of all humans who ponder and wander the plains, forests and deserts of Eden. This oath shall not be forgotten. For the Hinterlanders now control, for the first time since the Old Republic of Wakkerdam, for the first time since the Second Republic of Raevendrecht, their ancestral homeland of the Hinterlands. From the Deep till the Desert.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Therefore as Lord Protectors of the Hinterlands, as Paragons of all that Hinterlanders hold dear. Entangled with the Empire inside these provinces we declare our homeland in sacred union by the grace of Alder as United Provinces. And therefore the Hertog of Bergwoude declares the following:

1. The Province of the Southern Hinterlands, its capital the castle of Leeuwenmark, shall be given to now-Graf Harrsion van der Draeck, with imperial permission asked through this letter and declaration awaiting his formal imperial permission, to rule the province of the Southern Hinterlands from this day until the end of all mankind. As the Van der Draeck family has proven their loyalty through the harshest the Hinterlanders had to suffer since the revolution.

2. The Hertog of Bergwouden, Silas van Leuveren would reveal a plan to expand across Al'Hadar Deep, a strait of dockyards. These Dockyards will be home to an elite retinue in the service of Bergwoude and the Keizer above them, to serve the Empire of Man, the Empire of Hadriana across all the seas of Eden. As for our ancestors bled in salt waters, we shall create such an elite force to turn the bleed to red across all those that would oppose the unity of mankind.

3. The Hertog of Bergwouden would wish the now-Graf of Helsteyn, Manuel Fisher, to swear fealty to Bergwouden. In return for his loyalty, as a bannerman of House van Leuveren the Graf Fisher shall be allowed to continue his service and control of Helsteyn. If he doesn't affirm his oath as the newly created Graf of Helsteyn, the Hertog van Leuveren shall search for a new, worthy, upcoming-nobleman to control this most dangerous territory to the South.

4. The Hertog Silas van Leuveren would like to adress the fact that the lady Brita van Leuveren, the consort and wife of Hertog Silas van Leuveren, has seemingly disappeared off the face of Eden, her last whereabouts unknown, unheared off and driven to madness, as she had succumbed to the disease of obsessive control due to motherhood over a newly-birth son, Koenraad van Leuveren. She disengaged from all tasks, grew mentally ill and left for the eternal outdoors never to return again. With due grief in his heart the Hertog van Leuveren would ask for permission from the Vater to officially divorce lady Brita. Furthermore he wishes to extend a hand to the De Ruiter family, foregoing past conflict in the Hinterlands and looking past perils created and instigated by the lady Brita. That is in the past now.

5. Lastly, the former traitors of the Republic of Raevendrecht, which have abandoned the search for unity, due to their insentive selfishness. Shall be greeted with a one-time-oppurtinity to confess their wrongdoings and to come forward towards the Hertog Van Leuveren in order to receive a pardon in the eyes of all that Alder holds dear. Therefore they would clear their guilty consciencess and to receive a home, to be welcomed a place in the TRUE Hinterlands like their ancestors before them. This invitation extends to the members of the Orange Guard, Zhen Dhelvin, Dain Zakarian and even, if given a proper and earnest way to beg for forgiveness towards Jinx van der Bijlkrijger, Alice van Leuveren and Johan van Leuveren.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We shall continue to serve the Unity of Mankind and to stand with our Attian Brothers and Sisters in the face of all that the Void may Bring

In the heart of Königstein, hidden away from the hustle and bustle of the world outside, a young Countess draped in black sat in a candle-lit room, her silhouette merging with the shadows dancing on the walls. Outside, the wind whispered. But within the confines of the candlelit room, Anne-Marie de Ruiter remained ensconced in her own world, lost in the depths of the letter's prose. One of the few sentences written down would have caught her attention in particular, and she re-read it multiple times.

Her expression changed at reading about her sister's departing, turning more grim, yet somber
"How interesting..." Anne-Marie muttered before taking a deep breath, lowering the letter to rub the bridge of her nose as she remained quiet for a short moment "If I recall correctly, it was not only my sister in that courtroom, or who made that contract to ensure the downfall of my family... But alas, atleast he is coming to senses now... Took him long enough" She quickly fell silent again after, rethinking about what she just read "The poor newborn... Perhaps we could extend a hand, he is family after all...." The Countess handed the letter over to her siblings, Lodewijk first.
