[!]A letter was spread across all of Eden, reaching all around the realm of the Dominion, the sun-scorched deserts and prospering cities of Anjyarr, the shadowed depths of the Denur's undergrounds, the pits of Zhad and the grand cities and towns of Hadriana.[!]

I, Mihail Brukov, The Lla'viltir of Corithiel write this letter with a troubled heart, burdened by the urgency of recent events. It is my duty to inform you of the captivity of Astraeus Eowne in the lands of Anjyarr. The Dominion is fully aware of the actions that led to this outcome, and while we do not seek to excuse his recklessness, we cannot ignore the shame it has brought upon us for the world to witness. Let it be clear, as the Dominion does not condone such thoughtless behavior. Astraeus' pursuit of a challenge, however misguided, was an act born of his own will, not of the Corithiel’s design to be portrayed onto the World's view. Nevertheless, he is one of our own, and our responsibility to him remains. The Council of Corithiel is actively working to resolve this matter, for we do not abandon those who bear our name, nor do we allow our people to suffer in outside lands.
The Dominion values stability and order, collaboration and the assurance of safety. Measures are already in motion, and we trust that reason will prevail. We will see this matter through with the resolve that defines us.
May Honour and Resolve guide us all forward for a better future . . For Eden's future.

[!] A short Imperial missive was returned to Anjyarr and the Dominion's governments respectively.
To the Elfen governments of the East and South,
The Empire is willing, as the hegemon of the continent, to offer a neutral space to negotiate a resolution to the international crisis at hand to prevent possible loss of lives or worse if the crisis escalates further. Upon agreement of both governments, the Empire shall prepare a negotiation space where the safety of both delegations is guaranteed by the Imperial armed forces until both have safely crossed their respective borders once more afterwards.
[!] Across the lands, couriers clad in the colours of Anjyarr ride with purpose, carrying a missive bound in the Sultan's seal. From the halls of the Sultan’s domed palace to the distant courts of Corithiel and Adelsburg, the words of Sig’Vyl al-Buthara travel swift as the desert winds. Let those who receive it heed its message well. [!]

To Mihail Brukov, Lla'viltir of Corithiel,
I have read your letter in awe. You write that it is your duty to inform me of the captivity of Astraeus Eonwe in the lands of Anjyarr. Yet, was it not I, Sig'Vyl, who first informed the court of the Therri'Cill of these events mere moments after his capture? As it should be.
Let us not distort reality. Astraeus Eonwe was not taken by force, nor was he subjected to cruelty. He sought a challenge where none was offered, trespassed where he was unwelcome, and suffered the natural consequences of his own recklessness. Even so, he has been treated with the dignity due to any man who finds himself wounded in a foreign land.
I have made myself and my intentions abundantly clear from the beginning. Astraeus will be released when he is well enough to walk on his own two feet. There was never any ambiguity, no threat, no hidden motives. And yet, the Dominion continues to escalate this matter, turning a settled affair into a needless spectacle. Why? I can only assume it is more scheming, as is your way.
However, I have no interest in prolonging this matter needlessly. Our Hadrian neighbours, ever the stewards of diplomacy, have offered a neutral space for discussion. I accept this invitation. Not because I acknowledge this as an "international crisis," as they have deemed it, but because I am willing to grant the Dominion the opportunity to settle this matter in a manner befitting those who claim to value reason.
Anjyarr does not bend to threats, nor do we entertain falsehoods. We shall see this through.
Signed Sig'Vyl al-Buthara
Sultan of Anjyarr, Sovereign by the Will of the Heavens

THIS DAY SAINTSDAY 16, REDFALL, 1558
To the Kaiser and Sultan, respectively,
It remains our duty to inform the citizens of Corithiel to knowledge concerning their interest and welfare. We among our Enlightened sociey hold close our informed citizenry, and act with great care in playing our role to uphold that.
The Dominion of Corithiel acknowledges the Sultan's words, and makes no attempt to sway or diverge the story he has told. We further take great joy in the knowledge of the Sultan's kind handling of one of our own, despite our people's muddied history. Happily do we await Astraeus' safe return, but more importantly, we seek to ensure such crisis and events do not happen again, both for the preseveration of life and the intent for peace among Eden's great nations.
The Dominion happily accepts the Kaiser's invitation for a neutral forum, being one in which the leaders of Eden will be able to more accurately clarify their intentions, and a right choice can be made in regard to international relations and our policies moving forward. Through this, all three will come to a more full understanding of one another, and lasting peace can be shared for all as each still recovers from its wounds caused by the Bone Lord threat. Given our recent united stand against darkness, I am confident we too can come together once more to ensure prosperity for all.
In our humble reply, we request the Kaiser set a date for a meeting in which the three bodies may come together.
Signed, Varyian Theris Ia'Cilmeri of the Dominion of Corithiel,
Therri'cill of the Enlightened Kingdom of Luminion,
Guardian of Purity,
Warden of Corithiel,
Theri of the Glade of the Dragons
