Cultist
See also Entering the Clergy

Requirements for admission:
  • Entry occurs by co-optation by the Vater or the head of an abbey.
  • It is necessary to Sentinel of the Cult unless differently specified.
  • Anyone who can reside and regularly carry out an activity in Hadriana is eligible.
  • You must be female (only necessary for the Sisters of Alda)
Cultists may marry normally, accordingly to their Cult's rules

Duties and career possibilities:
Mortius' cultists are responsible for guarding the tombs, investigating Necromancy phenomena in the Empire and carrying out funeral rituals.

The Alda's Sisters are warriors of the Temple, mostly consisting of magic students specialized in fighting void enemies and healing.
They act as wedding maids, guide women blessed with upcoming motherhood along the road toward birthing, and can act as medics during the process. They're a band of very versatile women who carry a great share of society on their shoulders.

The Cult of the Golden Griffin is made up of active and working clergy, who take care of manual labor and the advancement of crafts, writing books on faith and laws, maintaining the Temples and even working the land when necessary.

Alderist cultists have semi-independence and are able to give themselves an organization and internal rules, build and found Cult Monasteries, provided that all this is approved by the Vater.

Templar Paladin
Requirements for admission:

  • It is necessary to adopt Salvor or Rosatia as your Sentinel.
  • To be chosen by the Vater for his personal guard.
  • You must be part of the Golden Keepers or the Scholars.
  • You must have a minimal martial training.
Simple Templars, who are not Herolds of Alder are allowed to marry after five years in the clergy.

Duties and career possibilities:
The Templar Paladins are chosen by the Vater for their loyalty to the Temple for his personal safety.
Although they train for combat, the Paladins are mostly officials and bureaucrats of the Temple, the eyes of the Vater on the world, and have the task of observing and making reports on what happens outside the papal palaces.
It is essential to demonstrate independence from other institutions and obedience to the direct orders of the Vater.

Career possibilities are blocked for those Templars who are not Herold of Alder, also called "Simple Templars". However, it is possible to be recognized as "Veterans of the order", a mostly honorific title.
The honorific title of "Honorary Templar" exists for those who have distinguished themselves by martial ability within the clergy.

A Templar that is also Herold of Alder is called "High Templar" and can ascend to the rank of Grand Master.

Temple's Inquisitor

Requirements for admission:
  • It is necessary to adopt Elric as your Sentinel.
  • To be chosen by the Vater for the role.
  • You must be part of the Golden Keepers.
Temple's Inquisitors are allowed to marry normally.

Duties and career possibilities:

It is the task of the Inquisitors to investigate cults, voidal activities in the provinces of the Empire and that the actions of local nobles respect the laws of the Empire issued by the Kaiser and his Imperial Council.

It is essential for an Inquisitor to know how to stick to customs and protocol: knowing how to use interrogation and search warrants by requesting them from the Vater or the Kaiser and knowing how to navigate the bureaucratic folds of the Hadrian Empire.

The inquisitor is the role of the cultured and intelligent, of those who know how the pen can be more powerful than the sword. Church scholars, theologians and legal experts, Inquisitors can advance their careers and become Erzbishops or Grand Inquisitor.

Insulting an Inquisitor is considered a legal transgression by the Hadrian law.
