[!] A figure clad in religious robes of the Temple of Alder would deliver a sealed letter to the Castle of Bergwald directed for the Bijlkrijger household, Castle Rosenberg directed to the Lichtenfelts household, and Cerils' Keep directed at House Vianden. After delivery, he would bow, say a prayer, and leave. The letter would bear the holy seal of the Vater. [!]

A letter to:
Markgrafin Jinx Van Der Bijlkrijger of Bergwald,
Prinz and Markgraf Karl Von Lichtenfelts of Holzland,
Markgraf Richard Vianden of Veronia,

8th of Saintsday, Starfall, 1555

Esteemed Markgrafin and Markgrafen,

With the utmost respect and solemnity, the Temple of Alder informs you of a recent occurrence that bears great significance to the memory of our fallen heroes. Over the past week, the Cult of Mortius of the Schwarze Abtei in Veronia has received notice of bodies washing ashore on the coastline of Veronia in the aftermath of the naval battle at Al-Jabrid. These remains have surfaced after nearly a year, a testament to the harsh toll taken by the ocean and time. The remains and corpses have been respectfully collected and moved to the Schwarze Abtei to be taken care off by the Cult of Mortius.

Among the recovered bodies, three have been preliminarily identified by their tathered attire as originating from your respective provinces: Bergwald, Holzland, and Veronia. As their rulers and protectors, we humbly request the presence of you or a respected a representative from each ruling family to aid in confirming their identities. Should circumstances permit, we ask for your arrival with all due haste to ensure the dignity and sanctity of this process.

We must caution you, however, that the condition of the remains is poor due to extensive exposure and decay. The sight is sobering, yet it is an essential step in offering these souls the respect they are due.

Once identification is complete, these individuals will be honored during a national burial ceremony alongside their comrades—a solemn recognition of the sacrifices made for our realm.

May Alder guide your path and bring light to this dark duty. Please inform the Schwarze Abtei of your decision at your earliest convenience.

Signed,

Vater Gottfried I "The Redeemed"

On behalf of the Temple of Alder and the Cult of Mortius, The Schwarze Abtei and Adelsburg.

[!] A raven would soar through the skies, headed for Adelsburg. It would land at the designated landing space near the Temple of Alder, where the letter would be brought to the desk of Vater Gottfried. [!]

To His Holiness,

The news you speak of saddens me to no avail, and I am glad to hear that the proper rites will be held and their sacrifice will be honoured during a ceremony in the Reichshaubtstadt. Whatever may be needed of me for the duration of these proceedings, I shall do with my head held high, in honour of the lives that were lost. Your diligence and proactiveness in this matter is greatly appreciated and duly noted.

In Alder's light we find the strength to march forth.
