Lunburg Banners is a company founded by Percival Schwan, a merchant from Adelsburg, in 1532. Its tax and law offices are now located in the Lünburg harbor, with official permission to operate in Hadriana and in the Anjyarri Empire. In 1533 an agreement was signed for bannermen to operate in Anjyarr and steer trade goods through the Anjyarri waters.
The Banners business fields are extensive. We will mention here a small list.
Civilian: Maps drawing and trading, Exploration, Archeology, Books writing and trade, Trade of Anjyarri and Northern Markets goods, Banking and news writing and reporting.
Military: Adventuring, Problem solving, Mercenary service.
♖ Who can apply ♖
Any individual or group in Eden who is either independent or a citizen of Raevendrecht can now register as a Banners member, gaining considerable advantages and opportunities (if you already have a different faction, skip to the “associate” paragraph).
Any company of adventurers in Eden can from now on officially register as a Banner.
One Banner is formally a platoon composed of about a dozen people with partial administrative and military autonomy of action. Each Banner would have a ship for transport and would deploy galleys for naval protection of the trade
They can organize in any way they’d like, unless they want to copy the First Banner as it was founded. In the eyes of the Banners Leader (the captain of the First Banner) they’ll select a captain that represents the platoon when needed and serves as an officer in military contexts.
♖ Rights and advantages of being in a Banner ♖
I. Being registered as a Banner means you will have access to all the contacts available to the Schwans and the Lünburg Banners, thus being able to get to know the politics and any problems in Eden that may turn into a hiring opportunity for the group.
II. The Banners are an official company, recognized in multiple countries. Being part of the Banners means to be considered a recognizable, prestigious man of the people, not some random homeless beggar in search of the next job.
If you’ll ever encounter law problems, the Banners law office will provide your defense and deploy their prestige and credibility to put you under the brightest light
III. A place to live. If your Banner has enough numbers, the Banners themselves will intercede with the Lunberg lord to get you a place to live.
IV. You’ll be able to use Banner’s sigil on your items and produce Banner products, whose secret recipes are hidden in the company’s strongboxes.
V. A cool uniform to wear. Being part of a Banner also means wearing a cool personalized version of the Banner uniform, which may be discussed with the Schwans when your Banner grows in prestige. but you will also be able to wear your captain’s designs, if you want to!
♖ Duties and rules ♖
I. By getting into a Banner, you swear to remain either independent or a Raevendrecht citizen. If you enlist as another country citizen, you cannot be recruited by that faction, cannot cover any relevant role and may be called to fight that faction. Therefore this rule.
Merchant republics or small non aligned factions (Switzerland-like) are yet accepted.
II. If you are in a Banner, you have to respect your captain's rules and orders, since the captain of your banner will be the one entrusted by the company for each of his members. If your captain asks you to be removed from his Banner, you will be removed and you can only ask to enter another Banner.
III. Even if Banners have large autonomy, any activity must be reported and decided together with the First Banner, which is currently led by the Schwans family. Also, keep in mind that the Lunburg’s Lord has veto power on any hiring of the Lunburg Banners.
IV. Entering the Banners, you swear to work for the interest of the company. Should you betray its trust or fight against these interests above, you and possibly your whole Banner may be removed.
♖ Associate status ♖
If you are a citizen, a member of another military organization or just don’t want to be in a banner, you can get your associate status. This will help us grow while you can be one of our patrons, and get some advantages from this, while the Banners influence grows in the wide world.
For the price of 50 Ⓐ you’ll be in our favorites book and be granted any Chronicon release for free. Whether you are a smith or some other manufacturer, you will be the first one we’ll ask for provisions.
Also your name will be put in our books as a friend of our company, should you need help as an individual, your request will be considered of primary importance for our organization.
