“Merhaba Nowu,

Ana would like to have it be known that Ana have found al’ana first student. However, this one in particular has a known history for making grave mistakes and other bad decisions, but desires to make recompense for such things. The student in question is Haldir, one whom has been banned from using magic due to certain previous events. However, after meeting with and interviewing the lad, Ana am of the belief that he truly intends to make up for such transgressions and has great potential, having been mishandled by his previous teacher(s). Therefore, Ana would like to request the privilege of teaching this fellow kin, in hopes that he will become a better mage, a wiser individual and redeem himself in the public eye. Ana shall give a rundown of al’ana course below and al’ana objectives, alongside how the Order of Thyst shall be involved therein.

1. Emphasis on Control and the Basics: Ana shall NOT be permitting the search and use of a Sphalerite stone until Haldir has fully learned and understood the core concepts of magic. When the time comes Ana shall prepare him to wield a stone without a casting item, so as to hone his temper and be able to control his powers, rather than letting them loose rampant.

2. Creativity and Fair Treatment: Haldir will be able to find his own way of casting that suits him best, alongside finding his own flame coloring and the like to foster creativity. The course will be of great length and strict, so as to teach patience and discipline, however Haldir will not be subjected to harshness or cruelty in these pursuits.

3. Continuous Progress Reports to Thyst: Ana shall make monthly or bi-monthly progress reports to the Order to keep ua informed about Haldir’s progress and any difficulties along the way. If he reneges upon his vow of retribution Ana shall inform ua immediately and take proper precautions to handle the situation.

4. Team Effort with other Pyromancers: Ana would like to request Haldir meet and study alongside other followers of Ignos, including ua self and possibly the orc Sugm’a da Mark’d. This way he can be supervised and take away lessons from others alongside al’ana self.

5. Restrictions and Thyst’s Demands: Ana am willing to make any changes to al’ana curriculum and enforce any rules that the Order demands of me in regards to this student. If he proves to be genuine and take his lessons and temperament seriously, Ana would hope to request in the future a lift of his ban of magic practicing in the regions concerned with him. If Ana am barred outright from teaching this student, Ana will understand and inform al’ana kin.

Shki ua’bi for al’ua time, and Ana ask ua give this fellow fair consideration to reclaim his lost honor.”

Sincerely,

[!] A letter returned, brought by a small fiery horned lizard to Aegnern's home.

Good day mister Piuldrash,

It pleases me to hear that you are taking up the challenge of taking up a student and certainly not one with the best reputation.
Me and the council of Thyst support your decision with the proposed conditions put up by yourself.

We in the council only have one thing to warn you and Haldir about;
If he or any other mage hurts the reputation of us elementals we shall take action to rectify that reputation, even if this action has to be taken against the mage in question themself.

Other than that you are welcome to ask for any assistance in your journey as a starting mentor of the flames.

Kind regards,
~ Signed, Nowu A. N. Grace
