Hi! Welcome to one of the very first Moderation publications in a while. We hope to be doing some more of this writing in the future! I'm writing this post because I wish to elaborate on some moderation action taken that affects a handful of players on our server.

For a proper understanding of the situation I first need to provide some insight into our server's early history. F&F is a relatively young project, we opened our doors on the 1st of October, 2021. Early in our development, we were just a tiny server built by a small group of friends that had only just started to grow with some international players joining in, and together everyone from back then, working hard, drove us forwards to the big day: launch day. However, on the 10th of June 2021, we had our first real, rather abrupt encounter with the outside world. A large group of players from a neighbouring server joined our discord, with the sole intention to raid.

The raid was relatively swiftly suppressed. We wanted nothing to do with such practices, and had no clue what it was about. To shield us from any further incidents like it, all raiders and staff members from the community that raided us were banned. Individuals who got caught in the ban waves but had nothing to do with the raid could join after being investigated and cleared by the moderation team.
We've long since forgiven the greater community that these raiding individuals came from, but we have not forgotten the sheer toxicity, racism and homophobia of those who executed the raid. This carpet ban stayed in place until November 2022, though many of the innocent were unbanned over time after being cleared by the moderation team. Back in November, the carpet ban was at last lifted and everyone who wasn't directly involved with the raid was unbanned.

Owing to the chaos of the incident and the very early stage of development back during the time of the raid, documentation of the raid has been pretty disorganised, but it was documented for later reference.
In recent times it has come to our attention that some of the original raiders have slipped through the cracks by using new discord accounts or administrative errors on our end. Moderation Team has always been of the opinion that all the innocent people who want to contribute to our community are welcome.

However, actually taking part in raids like this speaks volumes about someone's character, the type of character we'd rather not have around on F&F, and it is for this reason that it has always been Moderation Team's policy that these people are not welcome.
We've done some extensive digging into the documentation that was preserved, and pinpointed some individuals who were not merely carpet-banned, but actually took part in the raid. These individuals have been banned, in case they weren't already. Furthermore all explicit bans for toxicity, racism, homophobia etc. from back then have been restored. The handful of banned individuals who are actively playing on our server have been sent this forum post directly on Discord by me or another moderator. If you are banned and you believe a mistake has been made, please open a ban appeal ticket in our Support Discord.
