Citizens of Anjyarr and fellow readers,
This past Saintsday the court of Anjyarr held a closed trial to which only a select few were permitted to attend.
This trial pertained to the future of one Dohnair Venanor.
The structure of the trial was arranged to ensure the proceedings were fair.
Two speakers were permitted to talk during the proceedings, one in defense of Dohnair, while the other attempted to prosecute him.
Those overseeing the proceedings were the jury (seated by unbiased attendance of the trial, who had no involvement in the case),
there to decide the eventual verdict which pertained to Dohnair Venanor.
Overseeing the proceedings was the Sultana, there to keep the peace and ensure the proceedings were fair.
Once the jury delegated and were certain, they presented their conclusion,
of which they came to from their own accord without external influence, bar from a few words by the Sultana,
and the words of those in defense and prosecution of Dohnair.
The conclusion drawn from the given evidence was to cut the tendons within Dohnair Venanor’s hands,
and remove the tongue of the accused. It was at this time Dohnairs lover, Zolphar,
left the proceedings due to the punishment which was to be swiftly dealt.
However, the punishment was opposed by the accused, who instead pleaded for death.
Our kind and merciful Sultana attempted to dissuade the accused from his spiralling thoughts,
reminding of his lover, Zolphar Vendove, and of his two children.
Yet, the reminders did not placate the accused.
Dohnair Venanor proceeded to attempt to assault the Sultana, landing a blow upon her.
Such acts sealed the accused’s fate, granting him the death he so eagerly pleaded for.
Dohnair Venanor was killed on site, stabbed by those in attendance, and expired shortly after.
Out of respect for his loved ones wishes, his body has been buried on Anjyarri grounds,
and his belongings returned to his lover.
Sincerely,
The High Council.
