[This letter would be sent privately to the Sultan, so no metagaming]
*This letter is written neatly on a crisp, neatly folded paper. Either the writer managed to get everything right the first time they wrote it, or they had drafted it on a separate piece of paper beforehand*
To the Sultan of Anjyarr, Ralvvon Menaharian, I write this apology for my behavior a few days ago. I did not intend to disrespect you or your nation, but I know and understand that that was the effect of my actions. I was not in my right mind and acted and spoke in a way you did nothing to cause. For that, I am deeply sorry, and I ask that you take my mistakes as my own. Ms. Os and Ike Xenor only ever tried to calm me; it was I who did not heed their words.
I also offer an explanation; written below should you wish to read it.
Nearly six months ago, I saw my dear friend Meat, who I intend to name as my sister in her Sendoff, murdered by beheading at the hands of the Hadrian Empire on Thunderday the 28th, in the month of Firstseed, the season of Eden's Shine, and the year of 1550. It has haunted me every day and every night since. I have lost much in my short life, and I was terrified that I would lose Ike Xenor as well. He has become a good friend, and in his oddities and concern for my well-being, I see my own late father reflected in him.
My mind and my heart did not understand that you meant him no harm, and when you asked to speak to him alone, I could only see my sister; the isolation and pain she suffered in her final months. In your anger, I saw the axe being raised again, but this time it was Ike Xenor kneeling at the gallows. I did not hear your words. I was trapped in grief and irrationally terrified that I would lose someone else.
My actions were still wrong, but they were not taken in malice, only fear.
Should you wish to discuss this further, in person or by letter, I am willing to do so.
