7th Rainswraith of the year 1529
On the abovementioned date the Hooghlandsche Vrystaet, the Republic of Raevendrecht was suddenly and viciously attacked by an army of Ghouls of unknown origin. The bloody and hard fought battle was fought in the streets and the castle of Raevendrecht. The Stadtholder has proclaimed a national emergency for the foreseeable future. All citizens are ordered to be ready for future conscription and to help each other retain the looted and vandalized posessions chaotically dispersed by the Ghouls. The Orange Guard is ordered to scout the surroundings of Raevendrecht and take note of any site affected by the Ghouls. We report major casulties from the Ghoulish assault, amongst the wounded is the Stadtholder, who is in recovery. Towards the major leaders of Eden, many foreigners were welcomed in Raevendrecht as the attack occured during the 5th gathering of the Estates General. Some of you might have already gotten word from survivors and veterans of this fight. We are yet to investigate the origin of this threat but wish to warn the nations of Eden of possible future attacks and incursions.
