Hello Travellers!
As you may have noticed, our character plugin was updated. This means there will be some changes to how characters work in the server. Make sure to read closely so you understand what changes for you, the players. We hope you're going to be enjoying the Characters 3.0 update!
How will the character update look???
Luckily, this update will make the usage of characters a lot easier for the players and staff. Weird bugs that have been happening lately where cards were not updating or showing properly will be fixed with the update as well. Characters 3.0 will come with a variety of new commands that can be found on a guide [Here]. But I'll be going further into some things you need to take into account upon joining the server after the launch of the update.
Point one: Human characters can now choose their race more in-depth! Attian Human, Khadan Human and Hinterlander Human have all been added as official races within the plugin and a player can identify themselves as such. Important!: If you already own one or more human characters, then upon joining the server you are asked to choose their race. You will be greeted with a message in chat saying the following:
Please make sure to follow the instruction in chat and type 'continue' after which a menu will pop up asking you to pick the race. Hover over the hay bale to check which race you're selecting as such:
Point two: The banks between characters have been separated. Each character now has their own bank account and it is no longer shared between them. This means any money you had in the bank has been split equally between all your characters. Example: You have 2 characters and 1000 andros on your bank. After the update, both characters will have 500 andros on their bank.
The commands /bal and /pay have been replaced by /fbal and /fpay. Additionally, you now pay the character and not the player. It will look something like this:
You are allowed to /fpay your own character for the coming weeks. After that, it will be considered interacting with your own character which is against the rules, so make sure to transfer any money you want as soon as possible.
Point three: Players are now able to officially shelf characters. Using the command /char shelf [character] they can shelf a character for a minimum of 21 days, there is no maximum to the amount of time you can keep a character shelved. However, you can only shelf up to 3 characters. Shelving a character means you won't be able to play it for 21 days at least. When the 21 days have passed you can /char unshelf [character] to get them playable again.
That ties into character death as well. /pk of /char kill will no longer delete your character but keep them in the server. Keep in mind that they will not be playable at all anymore unless revived by staff for special circumstances.
Point four: Every player will now have access to another character called "Builder". Selecting this character will send you to the plot world and this is the only profile you can use on the plot world. This does not take up any character slots and is totally free for you to use.
Point five: Characters have been given an extra stat point. This means you no longer have an odd amount of stat point but you can fully utilize the stat points now. Race modifiers have been edited as well and a maximum of 12 point per stat has been introduced. Most excitingly: players can now change their stats themselves once every 30 days. Clicking on the orange [E] will allow you to change your stats once every month yourself. Do note, don't change your stats mid CRP fight.
