End of Two Months Update

Oh my god, it's 2024. It's time to get used to writing '2024' on our papers instead of 2023; and just when we get used to the change, it'll be 2025. The cycle is vicious, it never seems to end. I am pleased to announce that at the beginning of January, my time as the Community Team Manager reached the 'one year' mark. I have now been on Fables as a Team Manager for one year, a feat that is rare for team managers and staff in general; regardless of the server. Thank you all for giving me the chance to manage and uplift my community.

The community's feedback form opened on February 20th. In total, we received 22 responses. Last time we had 27 responses. 11 respondents came from their friends, 4 came from PlanetMinecraft, and 7 found us by other means. Out of the 8, every one of those 8 people found us through search results! The overall moral of the community, based on the quality ratings of the community and content, seems to still be at a high! These four charts in this section represent what is hopefully two month's worth of community feedback. With the growing trend of applicants, I hope to hear more feedback soon.

JANUARY───────────────────────────────────────────────FEBRUARY​

The two charts in each section represent the application data from January (left) and from February (right) of 2024. In total, community team handled 160 applications over the course of two months, with the applications being nearly split evenly between the two; 60 accepted in January and 50 accepted in February. Over the past year or so, there is a gradual trend of more and more players being accepted. This is a good insight that Fables and Fantasy is attracting applicants who are serious and excited to become part of our community; as nearly 70% of people applying each much were ultimately accepted!

JANUARY───────────────────────────────────────────────FEBRUARY​

In January, Elves and Humans tied! Elves welcomed 7 High Elves, 7 Wood Elves, and 8 Dark Elves. Humans welcomed 12 Attians, 9 Hinterlanders, and 1 Khadan. Tieflings blew their normal numbers out of the park, as they accepted 11 new players this month! We also ended up with 2 Denur and 3 Orcs (WAGH!).

In February, Humans and Elves almost tied again, but elves came out on top. Elves welcomed 6 High Elves, 12 Wood Elves (oh god), and 4 Dark Elves. Humans welcomed 12 Attians, 8 Hinterlanders, and 0 Khadan. Tieflings gained 4 new players this month, while Denur gained 3. Faulskins welcomed a lonely goblin.

It looks like the Halflings (or as I like to call them, Grass Denur) are due for some new players hopefully.

JANUARY───────────────────────────────────────────────FEBRUARY​

I found this one to be a fairly interesting statistic. Out of the 60 accepted players in January, 39 of them chose to make male characters. 17 characters were female, and the remaining 4 preferred not to say what gender their character was. In February, 30 of the 50 accepted characters were male, 19 of them were female, and there was only 1 character who was Other.

With the growing trend of activity lately, I hope that we hit 100 players online one day so that Arkhun will have to make good on that gamer chair!

(For those that don't know: the day that Fables hits 100 players online, the owner Arkhun has to buy a 'pink gamer egirl chair'.)

JANUARY───────────────────────────────────────────────FEBRUARY​

Ever since Fables integrated cross-compatibility with Bedrock edition, there has been a steady trickle of accepted applicants who play in Eden on their phone or console! Heck, while most Bedrock applicants are playing on Windows 10 or their console, our sole Bedrock applicant in February was playing on Pocket Edition for the phone. If you ever wondered why Fables is CRP-default, this is one of the reasons why; to make combat fair and equal for those who may not be playing with keyboard and mouse.

Remember, it's highly recommended that you join the [Main Discord] before you make an application or shortly after you make an application. This gives applicants the best chance to make it past Pending within the week-long deadline!

Contest Prompt: Since it's February, we're focusing on the day of love! There are many types of love; the most common four being eros - romantic, philia - brotherly, agape - unconditional, and storge - familial love. For this community event, you can draw, edit, what have you, of any of these four types. Have a large character family? Fit them all in! Brotherhood of knights? Sure! The list goes on. Just keep everything clean, we look forward to laughing, cringing, and remembering.
