This is all WIP, rn it’s just a rough draft of my characters back story and will be expanded and more fleshed out. I’m just posting it now so I can get feedback on what I have so far

When the Hinterlands were annexed into the Hadrian Empire, his father attempted to organize a rebellion in a near by local village but he failed and was arrested by Hadrian authorities, Tavaar would never see his father again that day and eventually Tavaar would learn that he was executed. Tavaar would live and work on his families farm trying to keep to himself. One day he caught wind that a Hinterland government in exile had formed up north.
Tavaar decided to abandon his farm and flee up north in hopes that he could help his fellow Hinterland Brothers in establishing a new Republic and forge a new life free from Hadriana. He was able to find a home in new Wakkardam and worked as a farmer and hoped he could finally settle and forget his past back in Wakkerdam.
When the Hadrian-Raevendrecht war began, Tavaar decided that he couldn’t run away from his past and decided that he should try to avenge his father and help defend his new home, he joined the Orange Guard and would fight in the Hadrian-Raevendrecht war. Tavaar expected to see his republic stand victorious against the tyrannical monarch, however he saw in horror as the Hadrian army destroyed The Orange Guard. With the war ended, Howard would leave the military and returned home in New Wakkardam where he saw the collapse of the republic and the birth of the Tzardom of Raevkov.
Tavaar’s hatred towards the Hadrian’s would only increase after the collapse of the Republic, Tavaar wanted to escape his past in Hadriana but his past ended up following him and destroyed his new home. The defeat of The Republic drove Tavaar near, if not completely mad. He began to see the Hadrian’s as “pure evil” and that they sought to only subjugate and oppress all life on Eden. Tavaar now seeks one thing and one thing only, to bring about the downfall of Hadriana, to avenge his father and all Hinterlanders oppressed and exiled by Hadriana, and to bring about a world free from the oppression that Hadriana has brought upon Eden. He will find a way To succeed at any costs be it great or small for no price is too high to achieve a righteous goal, or at least this is what Tavaar tells himself.
Personality
Reclusive: Tavaar is a reclusive person, often fearing of leaving a bad impression on those he meets.
Unforgiving: Tavaar can be very unforgiving to those around him and including himself, this unforgiving personality has made him a perfectionist, seeking to perfect everything he can do and preventing failure at any costs.
Polite: Despite him being unforgiving, he is actually very polite towards people, usually trying to meet other people’s standards and he usually doesn’t see the need to be openly rude to people.
Stubborn: like many Hinterlanders, Tavaar is a very stubborn man, especially when it comes to political views

Backstory
Howard Tavaar was born as an only child in 1514 to a peasant family in Wakkerdam. Howard would never get to know his Mother Alesia Tavaar, as she died of the Rotten Plague when Howard was 2. Howard and his father Waton Tavaar, worked on a wheat farm in the United provinces of the Hinterlands. His father was a strong believer in the idea of an independent Hinterland nation and he would end up influencing Howard’s own Political beliefs in the future.
