A small notice was plastered on the notice board of Al-Khadir. It was unmarked, but signed by a Divan al'Sultani official.

To the people of Anjyarr,
I am upset to announce the unfortunate news of my resignation from my post in the Divan al'Sultani. I fear for the future of Anjyarr, and believe that all hands are needed to see the Sultanate into a brighter future - though I cannot be somebody who make that future happen. While I am grateful for the opportunity to serve what has been my home for the decade and a half, there are issues beyond Eden that require my attention. As a scholar I made my home, my life, travelling the lands of Eden in search of knowledge - wisdoms to discover.
As a servant to this nation, I cannot strive for this 'adventure'. Trapped by conflict, duty, and our people. Though I am getting old, there is still so much to learn. And I appreciate Anjyarr and its people, but this is not the place for me any longer.
I pray for the future of Anjyarr, and its success without my assistance. Tarik ab shadam.
