A week before today, the Council held a trial for the Azari'cill, Aldarian Chamaire, brother of Faiir Chamaire, who was recently cast out from the Enlightened Kingdom of Luminion. By the final hour of the meeting, the man took his last breath in the Throne Room of the Woodland Realm of Mitrona, a sight not many can stomach.
Aldarian Chamaire, the previously banished 'Cill, decided it was best to take the Ents into his own hands. Ents atop the Amber Tree felt threatened by his presence, and by Tri'cilus Thaniel's account, he drew from the Realm of Ignos, ready to attack with fire magic against Mitrona's holiest site, the Tree that we swore to protect many generations ago. After being told to stop, he persisted, given warning after warning. It was not until Tericyess of Mitrona, Apollon Lovell, stepped in that he left, only to flee to the city's heart, the capital. When Tri'cilus Thaniel gave one last warning, the Azari'cill ignored all and fought back against him and two warriors. A bloodbath it would have been if I, the Khari'cerr, had not walked in. A distasteful scene it was.
Given that he had recently been exiled from Luminion, the High Council had decided on lashings to set a firm example of how imperative it is to protect the Myln Arbor by all means. We were not looking for blood or vengeance. It wasn't until, perceived by all in the Throne Room, his little remorse for endangering the spirits of the Forest became evident. His disrespect towards the authority above him, hiding behind his sister, and his dismissive demeanor spoke louder than anything else he may have said.
It was then that I said, "Enough." Furthermore, his final verdict was given: death.
With a last act of respect, we allowed him to give his final words and goodbyes, and his last breath followed, right through the heart. In a blink, Aldarian Chamaire lay lifeless on the carpet of the Throne Room. He will be cremated, and his ashes shall be returned to the Chamaire family.
