merc merchandise

In all realms non-orcish is an advertisement, hastily hewn, for a prospective child's toy. A soldier in the livery of the Lazarus company, should you have a keen eye and eager memory. No description is attached.

Attached foremost to this advertisement is the image of a wooden man, the loose limbs of wood being carpented with joints flimsy enough that the arms and legs would go flapping and clattering over one another should the toy ever be posed. Each movement would develop a little action for the toy-adventurer, a pose with the sword, a dared buckle of the shield, a kneeling for a winsome maiden. The whole thing seemed enlivened by a veneer of paint, it looked like a great delight for children of all ages.

It seemed that the oblongs of wood that made the limbs, adorned with paint on each side, were so connected with tape that it was of some durable construction - how suitable for a mercenary!

Even looking at the limbs and the most intimidating face on the nameless sellsword looks gratifying - if you were a child of body or soul, you would surely be in for a treat with this action figurine (dare not call it a doll!)
