Appearance

Rhagmir Embereye is an aged Denur with a long black beard and slightly balding forehead. His face is semi-stained with gray ash, not from filth but from his long-time exposure to volcanic caverns, a testament not to uncleanliness but to his willingness to get his hands dirty. He often dresses in rustic armored robes, ornate with molten colored jewels. Atop his head rests a mage cap, comically oversized compared to his stout figure, and over his eyes are goggles with gem-cut lenses.

Rhagmir is rowdy and warm-hearted, often too socially inquisitive for his own good. Foreign concepts such as secrecy and social restraint are still difficult concepts for him to grasp. He is also quite learned and philosophical, often entering conceptual rants over vague concepts or the reasonings behind one's actions or history.

History

Rhagmir hails from a long line of Denur, born after the Age of Destruction. The first Embereye changed his name, dubbed by a constellation of a flaming eye among the stars. After the horrific winter, he devoted his life to seeking out Pyromancy for his kin. He bared children, and set off, following a constellation in the sky. Fables tell that he discovered a sacred spiritual flame, only to die to the hardship of his travels shortly after. Many years passed, and now Rhagmir carries the mantle of the Embereyes. He seeks Pyromancy for the betterment of his Denur kin, to stave off the perilous winters high in the mountains, and revolutionize the ways of his kin forever.

Ossolin Wyrmthane found Rhagmir tunneling deep into the heart of a distant mountain, driven nearly to madness in seeking the power to control fire and molten rock. It was Ossolin's generosity and way with words that convinced Rhagmir to seek medical care, and to join Clan Wyrmthane to further his quest in a sensible manner. Though his travels were long, spanning many complex treks across all of Eden, facing many challenges and adventures, and meeting many cultures and figures along the path, he found a Pyromancer capable of teaching him. Sugm'a of the Foul Tide. Despite the divide between their peoples, Rhagmir and Sugm'a had a drink together and found great similarities in themselves. Ever since then Rhagmir has been swiftly growing in his aptitude, to fulfill his life's quest: The first Denur Pyromancer.

One day, when he advanced in his studies of magic, a phoenix had flown swiftly to him. It began to follow him, likely due to his aptitude for flames. Dubbing this phoenix Igniel, Rhagmir is unsure of what their bond will become.

As a new threat encroached upon Eden, in the form of a 'Lord of Bones', Rhagmir began writing many texts and experimenting with magic as a whole. When the arcane flux occurred, the elemental realms claimed dominion over the seasons and furthered the potency of magic all together, Rhagmir was the first Mage in the modern era to create a new spell, in the form of Pyromancy's "Pyrotic Pulse".

After facing the undead hordes of Lilith alongside Raevendretch, and witnessing the start of the Lord of Bones' invasion, Rhagmir began to prepare himself and the world for a crisis. He wrote of the many undead he witnessed, giving depictions and names to each of them as well as listing their abilities. Furthermore, he changed his casting item into a wand to grant further clarity and ease to his casts.
