It is with great solemnity and a bereaved heart that the Holy Church of the Alder declares the Patriarch to have fallen ill. We ask all who find solace in the warm embrace of the Alder and His Holy Church to pray on behalf of the Patriarch for his swift recovery. On his sickbed, it was the wish of the Patriarch to elevate Father Alexios to the office of Bishop of Hadriana in his stead, until he is well enough to resume his office. The Holy Church once again asks for the prayers of its flock for Bishop Alexios. May GOD grant him many, many years, as well as wisdom and discernment befitting his office.
