The Death of the Last Helstein Brigant
Issued: Moonday the 17th of Redfall, 1534
Rejoice, for the final active brigand of the Helstein traitors has been slain in Adelsburg on the seventeenth of Redfall, 1534.
It was on this day that the Bergward-Holstein brothers hosted their first tavern night in the newly liberated city of Adelsburg. Argyle barged in, sword raised high and announced himself as the last of Helstein's rabble, here with the singular purpose of assassinating the Kaiser, Diederick-Gobel von Lichtenfelts. His strikes were hard and relentless, yet none were able to break the Kaiser's guard. Local guards, loyalists, and allies joined in to take down the assassin, eventually creating an opening for Diederick to strike him down. After he fell to the ground, he was swiftly executed by Kaiser Diederick with a thrust through his visor with the greatsword "Mercy," once worn by his brother, Kaiser Philipp II, who was slain by the Helstein troops in a brutal coup.
