Wrought by Rivalry
At a young age, due to the disarray of the Tieflings as a people at a loss of a nation, the two Tieflings would become seperated. One became abducted by foreign slavers and raiders, while the other would escape and roam the wilderness. While one eventually came to thrive among the wilds, finding new community and purpose, the other lived a life in chains and servitude.
30 years passed until one finally managed to find and save the other, years of constant hardship and labor making the slave tower over the average Tiefling. Finally freed, the slave swore to never be a servant ever again. Forever would he resent his brother for his cowardice in their youth, and so too would resentment be returned in kind by the more skilled and experienced of the two. The many years apart made the brothers all but strangers to one another. Yet, they shared blood ties.
Now the Twin Torments serve under the same master: Strength. Destiny made them to be warriors, clawing tooth and nail for a shrivel of what all others were bestowed, thus would they become brothers in arms as a mercenary duo. Constantly will they compete to see whose past made who stronger.
