To my Friend Guido, in urgency

Hello, friend.

I hope you are well. I write to you because I fear for your safety in the city of Adelsburg. While staying in the land of Mitrona as of late, I'd been warned against playing in the city, as it was dangerous with the ongoing war. As a fool, I traveled over to attempt to find and warn you, and suffered an injury from a strange man with a crossbow. The kind people of Mitrona took me in while I recovered, and after weeks I am now back in my home nation of Avalheim.

I am not a literate woman, so I had to find someone willing to help me deliver this message to you. I believe that until this war is over, us creative folk should refrain from traveling the Hadrian Empire. I have the scars to prove the dangers, and I pray none of my friends have the same. If you can, please write me back to inform me of your safety.

With the best of intentions, Thorne Edelwood
