TO RESOLVE THE REFUGEE CRISIS
Issued: Wineday 11, Greenfall, 1542
By: The Imperial Office.

-

To the sitting representatives our most esteemed historic partners,

The Hadrian Empire is facing a crisis like never before regarding unwanted refugees. Ever since the Empire of Anjyarr banished key individuals from the previous Al-Buthara regime, roaming bands of Dunkel Elfen have been plaguing our lands. Before they found refuge in the now long-dead and forgotten northern state, but now that the Freestate project has failed, they have moved south in increasing numbers. Wielding magic and breaking and dismissing Imperial Law.

It has come to a point where the Hadrian Empire can no longer act indifferent and must take action to defend its citizens and take action against unruly Dunkel Elfen. Therefore the Hadrian Empire wishes for the Empire of Anjyarr to retract its banishments on any Dunkel Elfen and allow them to return home where they belong. The Empire cannot and will not house all those deemed unwelcome by the southern courts without coordination.

Our message to the court of Anjyarr is simple. Take them back. Most noteworthy among these names are Zhen Delvin and the Zakarian family. They are your people, take responsibility for them.

If such actions are deemed impossible, no choice is left to us but to carve out a refuge for these frightful souls among Anjyarri possessions.
We hope to hear of Anjyarr's resolution soon.

Signed,

His Imperial Majesty,

A small, sly grin appeared on Zladimir's face as he read the missive. The Elfenbracher hung on a wall as he slowly sipped on a nice warm brew, mulling the recent move over..

"And for the fourth or fifth time.. My words are becoming reality. The Empire is waking up to the harm these stick ears are causing to our own lands."

In regard to the 'Refugee Crisis'
By: The High Council, approved by the Nobara family.
Written: 15.02.1542 | 15th of Greenfall, Thunderday, year 1542

Towards the esteemed members of the Empire whom lay north of the Desert,

We hope that our response finds you all well and in peace, away from all the troubles of Eden.
We understand your ongoing concerns and efforts regarding the dark-elven 'refugees'.
Because we believe that in our principles can find a plethora of similarities to yours, we would like to explain our judgement towards the two individuals and provide sensible reasons as to this judgement.

In regard to the aforementioned crisis, we would like to inform the Office that due to the long list of offenses and misbehavior caused by
Dain Zakarian and Zhen Delvin , it is not possible to pursue an amiable resolution with the said individuals. To further cement our point, we have collected our records regarding their behavior.

Please do see for yourselves some reasons as to why we do not wish to retract our banishments:

  • Dishonesty with the purpose of damaging the integrity of our Empire
  • Disrespect towards the ethnicity of other Anjyarri citizens
  • Domestic violence
  • Public violence
  • Threatening citizens of our Empire
  • Harassment towards citizens of our Empire
  • Murder of other persons
  • Negatively impacting foreign relations on behalf of our Empire without explicit permission
  • Disobeying law enforcement
Therefore, we would like to concretely inform the Office and to anyone else whom it may concern that we will not retract our previous banishment in accordance to the points mentioned above.

As previously explained, we believe that the Empire of Hadriana has similar morals, and it is our belief that similar behavior from citizens of the Empire north of the Desert would be punished equally or more severely. The motive for the 'crisis' stems from the behavior of these two members, which serves as proof that they have not caused trouble only in our lands, and should be sufficient to convince those whom it concerns why the two individuals are no longer welcomed in the Desert.

We would like to further discuss the matters at hand. We kindly request that the Office or that the appointed person responsible for such matters please continue this discussion by means of formal letters. The letters may be sent directly at the Al-Khadir or Al-Jabrid palaces to ease logistics.

May the Stars of Iʂik and its many guides extend their hand on your Path.

Signed,
Nobara, Nahida Umaira
