[!] A black-robed individual would wander along the main road of the Hadrian Empire, delivering a letter to the ruling nobility of the province of Flüssland. Witnesses who saw him speak of him wearing a bone-white skull mask and a nine-pointed star hanging around its neck. [!]

To the ruling House Rovelt of the province of Flüssland,
Several months ago the Cult of Mortius requested for a meeting between members of the Custodians of Mortius and House Rovelt to discuss the presence of possible resting souls in the province of Flüssland and cooperations between both parties. Now, since the recent attack of the Undeath in the lands of Hertzland, and the Cults recent discovery of unreported massgraves from the Rotting Plague, we urge you to answer. If not, the Cult will be forced to take matters into their own hands in order to continue their duties that Mortius bestowed on them, and for the safekeeping of the souls of the human race. If you fail to cooperate, the Cult will be left with no other choice but to take action!

The cult now urgently requests for the response to this letter. We hope this final request will be answered.

May Mortius protect you through the darkest of times.

As Maximus sat in his study a servant would gently knock on the door. "Come in." Maximus muttered as he huffed lightly before the servant walked in and placed the letter on his desk. Maximus then skimmed through the letter before furrowing his brows in frustration, "This is a jest, right?" He rhetorically asked before groaning. Maximus then scanned the letter once more before he chuckled lightly at it, shaking his head as he tapped his quill against the letter soon scribbling on it with slight anger. He then inhaled deeply as he leaned back into his chair, sinking into it before he closed his eyes. He exhaled slowly, staying silent for a few moments before he slowly nodded his head, "I'll send out a letter to them." Maximus claimed as he sat up straight. Maximus then leaned forward toward the desk as he dipped his quill in the ink gently before he started to write slowly and neatly. "Leave me be, I must think." He stated before the servant scurried out the door, closing it behind him.

Maximus signed his signature on the letter, letting the ink dry. Once the ink was dry, he folded the parchment and placed it in an envelope neatly before he closed it and dipped his wax stamp into hot wax. He then pressed it down upon the envelope with a huff before he sat there momentarily, sinking into his chair with a deep sigh. Maximus stood up, grabbing the letter from his desk before he walked out of his study and handed the sealed letter to one of his servants. "To the Order of Morbius.. wherever they may be." He scoffed as he turned and began to walk back into his study, closing the doors behind him before he sat in his seat sinking into it once more, "Finally.. some peace." Maximus uttered, closing his eyes.

Taffeta was the first to receive the letter in the dark walls of the monastery. She would have taken it directly to brother Gottfried but he was on duty, watching over the fields of Mortius. She stepped into the little office and sat down before gently opening the letter. After reading the content, her usual smile had faded.

"You expect us to give you more time? It has already been over six months. He may have time to waste but the Bonelord is not wasting any time with those bodies."

A sigh left her lips and she placed the letter back into the envelope. She left it on the desk for Gottfried to find when he returned.

"It seems he does not even know the proper name of a sentinel. I shall need to look into how faithful he truly is.."

As Gottfried finally sat down, tired from his long post and refreshed before changing attire, he noticed the open letter on his desk. He pinched the bridge of his nose, rubbing his head a little before he moved his fingers through his hair to get it a bit into position. "Seems Schwester Taffeta has read it too." he mumbled to himself before he took the letter and carefully read it. His tired eyes twitched for a moment in surprise, having to read the letter a second time before he had to take a deep sigh. His free hand formed a fist.
"How dare he-" the frustration clearly heard and visible. "How dare this pompous arse have such ignorance of the danger ahead!" He slammed the letter back on the desk. "Failure to respond, failure to report, FAILURE to halt undead forces that use Flüssland freely to terrorize the innocent... And yet he is annoyed with us even while the Bone Lord terrorizes his land- better yet uses it without an opposing Hadrian force? I can only see this as deliberate neglect. He would rather have the souls of our kin be turned into the walking dead and feast on our people before he would lift a finger from his sleeping chair..." He grinded his teeth, shoving his chair back and walking towards the door. "Doesn't surprise me; he even fails to use the propper name of our Sentinel. His faith is clearly lacking." He stepped outside, slamming the office door behind him. He was done with being patient. The Bone Lord was on the rise again, and he would not be ignored this time.
