The Book of Grudges is an ancient tome passed down since the rule of High King Orun Grudgebearer from one High King to the next. In essence, it is a record of all slights, wrongdoings, and treacheries committed against Denurkind, and holds much historical value to the Mountainfolk. The streak of passing-downs was broken and the Book was destroyed. A new Book was forged to continue the legacy under High King Alaric Starbreaker.

The Book is written using the blood of the High King, and part of their tasks is exerting the authority to add new grudges or strike out grudges that have been avenged. The Book of Grudges is one of the most valued possessions of the Denur, even more so after the original tome was destroyed, and it is kept safely locked away from the eyes of the outside world.
