The passing of Erzbishop Arnvithr 'Asco' von Eisenwalde
31.06.1556

It is with profound sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of the Erzbishop of the Westerlande, Arnvithr von Eisenwalde, affectionately known to many as Asco. His noble spirit was extinguished on the somber evening of 14.05.1556, at the keep of Bergwaltz. Asco was tragically injured in a valiant confrontation with the relentless undead from the north. He returned home, his strength wavering but his resolve unwavering, and in his final moments, he found solace and comfort in the loving embrace of his wife, surrounded by family members.

The markgrafin wipes away a tear as she finds the notice. "He fought until the last second, showing his strong character. He was dearly beloved by many. It feels like I have lost a third son" she'd whisper after reading it. "You'll be never forgotten my dear son in law"

Nadezhda had to stare at the letter for a long moment, swallowing her grief. Asco, her beloved cousin, her rock during her forced isolation, and her last surviving family member…gone.

And all she had to remember him by was a public announcement.

She stood quietly from her desk, pulling her veils over her face.

“Lady Janne, and his poor children…I must visit them. They will need support now, more than ever.”

Janne sat at her desk, the flickering candlelight casting a warm glow that shimmered in her glossy eyes as she signed the document, her thumb gently tracing the ring he had crafted for their wedding. A heavy sigh escaped her as she momentarily fixed her gaze out the window, then rose to the bed where she sank onto the sheets, her fingers gliding over their smooth surface. Tears streamed down her cheeks, each droplet a reflection of the dread settling in her heart as she curled up, quiet sobs shattering the stillness of the room.

[!] Atticus read over the notice briefly, his stagnant hand giving a tremble while he held the corner of the paper.. Subtle sparks barely noticable at first went along the side of the paper where he held it, soon lighting the entire missive aflame.

The elfman looked to the horizon, unsure of the choice ultimately.. Now only feeling content with the idea of going into the swamp and letting a sun explode
