Here we are again with yet another End of the Month Update. We all know the drill by now, there will be stats, recaps, contest results, and upcoming events. However! There are some upcoming changes to discuss further into the update. I'll get to it after covering this month's community statistics and community feedback.

The community's feedback form opened on October 20th. In total, we received 23 responses. Last month, we had 23 responses. Out of the 23 responses, more than half were brought over by mutual friends. 11 respondents came from their friends, 4 came from PlanetMinecraft, and 8 found us by other means. Though, there should be quite much more the amount of feedback with the new upcoming changes. Out of the 8, some found us through browser results and through our publicly-discoverable discord!

During this month, community team handled 106 valid applications. I did notice a trend in this month's data. Dark Elves are receiving quite the love in terms of new characters; though, of course, Tieflings are always receiving a handful of new players! This should be quite interesting given the recent activity in Al-Khadir, as well as the new Tiefling settlement that was opened. It's highly recommended that you join the [Main Discord] before you make an application or shortly after you make an application.

Out of the 106 applications, 66 were accepted. Elves are back on top with 24 accepted players: 9 High Elves, 6 Wood Elves, and 9 Dark Elves. The humans sit far down on second place with 23 accepted players: 12 Attians, 7 Hinterlanders, and 4 Khadan.

This month, we accepted 7 Tieflings once again. There were no Halflings. Of the Faulskins, there are 6 new Goblins and 0 new Orcs. In a surprising turn of events for some, there were 6 Denur that were accepted this month!

Spectral Spooktacular - Monthly Contest​

OooOOoOoOoOo, it's the Spectral Spooktacular!
We're looking for your spookiest, Halloweeniest skins! Monstrous creatures, gowns that bewitch, and the spookiest, scariest skeletons. The contest will run all month long! You can find the submission channel in our main discord. It's called “# ┋spectral-spooktacular”.

October's Community Call​

The community call took place on October 15th, and y'all came out in crowds! I hope everyone had fun and got excited for upcoming changes and new features.
One of the upcoming changes that was announced is the [Automatic Aging & Natural Death]! This allows characters to automatically keep track of their age, as well as other key few things that need to be known.
Minor changes that will come along with this update:

• The minimum age for characters is being pushed back to 8 or the equivalent of that for Elves.
• You'll be asked to set your birthday in character creation now instead of just inserting a number.
• When the update launches, your age will be set to "unknown" and MUST be changed manually by the user to avoid dropping dead all of a sudden. There will be about half a million announcements regarding that when the time comes.

Tech Team Recruitment Drive​

Ever wanted to use your more technical skills to help out with Fables & Fantasy? Well, during the last week of October, Tech Team opened its doors to accept new potential candidates.
Tech Team is looking for those that are..

• Software developers
• People to test plugins and such
• Artists, both those who are familiar with pixel art & general art, modeling, or textures for Minecraft
• Customer service people to answer various tickets
• Technical writers

With the advent of a new month, it's time to address a few new changes that are being made in terms of monthly updates and community feedback.

BI-monthly Update!​

We're giving you more time for your community feedback!
Everything related to the community update will now happen every other month. The EoTM will be the EoTB, community feedback will encompass two months, application data will encompass two months, and the community contest will happen every other month. The next community contest will be announced at the start of December (so expect a contest potentially based on the holiday spirit!), and feel free to compile community feedback that's worth two whole months!
